Two people were killed in accidents on Arkansas roads this weekend, according to preliminary reports from Arkansas State Police.
Dustin Gibson, 38, of Walnut Ridge, was killed at approximately 5:40 p.m. Friday when he was hit by a 2015 Ford Taurus that was traveling west on U.S. 412 in Lawrence County, according to the report.
The report states that Gibson was hit and killed by the Taurus after jumping into the roadway.
An unnamed driver listed as John Doe in a separate accident report was killed at approximately 2:52 a.m. Saturday when the 2023 Nissan he was driving west on Chenal Valley Drive in Pulaski County struck multiple trees at 18600 Valley Club Drive, ejecting him from the vehicle.
Officers reported that the weather was clear and the roads were dry at the time of each incident.
