Kelly Clarkson Makes Subtle Reference to Ex-Husband in 'When Christmas Comes Around... Again' Visualizer

Kelly Clarkson is not one to be petty. However, she does have a good sense of humor, as evidenced on virtually every episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Just a few days ago, Clarkson shared an album visualizer for her 2021 holiday-themed project, When Christmas Comes Around... The visualizer comes shortly after the deluxe reissue of the album was released this month.

It's a cute visualizer with an added "Again" at the end of its title. This award-winning record and its new visualizer would be perfect to have on for any Christmas gathering, complete with a cozy fireplace and Christmas imagery. Throughout the video, Clarkson's Christmas album plays in the background.

However, some fans have noticed a tiny detail in the visualizer that could very well be Kelly Clarkson throwing a little bit of playful shade at her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. Above the featured fireplace in the video visualizer, there are four stockings hung in plain view. Each one has a name, including "Mom", "River", "Remy", and one stocking on the far right just reads "Nope".

For reference, Kelly Clarkson and her ex-husband finalized their divorce in 2022. They share two children, River Rose and Remington "Remy" Alexander Blackstock. Their divorce resulted in Clarkson having to pay $1.3 million to Blackstock, as well as over $45,000 per month in child support for their two children.

As of this posting, Kelly Clarkson hasn't confirmed that the "Nope" stocking was intentional shade thrown at her ex-husband. But we think it's a playful enough jab that Clarkson doesn't need to comment on it.

It doesn't look like Clarkson will be releasing a new Christmas or holiday-themed album this year. When Christmas Comes Around... was released back in 2021. Before that successful release, Clarkson penned her first holiday record Wrapped In Red back in 2013, which quickly became that very year's best-selling Christmas album in the US. When Christmas Comes Around... made it to no. 22 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart in 2021.

Even though we won't get a new Christmas album this year from Clarkson, the recent deluxe reissue of When Christmas Comes Around... features at least one new song, "You For Christmas".
