SEDALIA -- The Fatima Comets led all area teams Friday and Saturday in the Battle at the Katy Trail at the Mathewson Center, placing 10th out of 48 teams with 299 points.
St. Pius X: Festus won the team title with 412 points, Centralia was second with 396.5 points, Father Tolton placed third with 342 points and Marceline finished fourth with 332 points.
Tucker Tune and Nolan Laux both took third place in their respective weight classes to lead the Comets.
Tune went 5-1 at 113 pounds, winning three matches by fall and one match by major decision. Tune ended the tournament with an 11-5 win against Richmond's Daxton McGinnis in the third-place match.
Laux posted a 5-1 record at 126, also finishing with three pins and one win by major decision. In the third-place match, Laux won 2-1 against Knob Noster's Mason Grosz.
Caden Rosentreter took fifth place at 106 for Fatima, finishing with a 5-1 record. He had four wins by fall and one win by decision, pinning Richmond's Hunter Wilson in the fifth-place match.
Finishing sixth for the Comets were Ryder Herzing and Conner Willlis. Herzing was 6-2 at 157 with three wins by fall, while Willis went 6-2 at 215 with five pins.
Also wrestling for the Comets were Thomas Kremer (4-4 at 132), Logan Laux (4-4 at 138), Jesse Schroeder (3-4 at 175) and Henry Storm (0-4 at 120).

The Versailles Tigers came in 22nd place in the team standings in the Battle at the Katy Trail with 171 points.
Drake Schmidt led the Tigers with a runner-up finish at 132 pounds.
Schmidt had a 7-1 record in the tournament, winning one match by fall, three matches by technical fall, two matches by injury/medical forfeit and one match by major decision. Schmidt lost by technical fall to Gallatin's Eli Sperry in the first-place match to suffer his first loss after starting the year 21-0.
Wyatt Burks placed fourth at 215 with a 5-2 record. He won three matches by fall and two matches by major decision.
Cole Hamrick took seventh place at 120 with a 6-2 record. He won five matches by fall and won a 4-0 decision against East Buchanan's Brody McCartney in the seventh-place match.
Other wrestlers for the Tigers were Ethan Garber (4-3 at 150), Reach Boatright (1-3 at 133) and Jaxson Shewmaker (1-5 at 126).

The California Pintos scored 141.5 points to place 25th in the Battle at the Katy Trail. Connor Farmer and Talyn Balsley both had top-seven finishes to lead the Pintos.
Farmer placed sixth at 113 pounds with a 3-3 record, winning once by fall and twice by major decision. Balsley finished with a 5-2 record to take seventh place at 106, winning all five matches by fall.
Also competing for the Pintos were Jose Martinez (5-3 at 132), Jackson Barnard (4-3 at 144), Kolby Less (4-3 at 150), Traye Balsley (4-4 at 120), Sawyer McGill (1-5 at 157), Cody Lutz (0-4 at 175), Jaidon Shikles (0-5 at 138), Andrik Young (0-5 at 165) and Wade Moeller (0-6 at 126).

The Tipton Cardinals came in 35th place with 86.5 points in the Battle at the Katy Trail.
Cooper Doss led the Cardinals with a fifth-place finish at 144 pounds. Doss had a 7-1 record, winning five matches by fall. He ended the tournament with a 1-0 win against Richmond's Madix Hutchings in the fifth-place match.
Dalton Doss came in ninth place at 138 with a 5-3 record. Doss won all five matches by fall, pinning Fatima's Logan Laux in :38 in the ninth-place match.
Other wrestlers competing for Tipton were Levi Street (1-3 at 165), Gage Carol (1-4 at 175), Ethan Shores (0-4 at 215), James Kuttenkuler (0-5 at 120) and Kade Williams (0-5 at 132).

The South Callaway Bulldogs scored 13 points to place 45th in the Battle at the Katy Trail.
Competing for the Bulldogs were Caleb Hubbard (3-4 at 150), Ash Gray (1-5 at 190), Aaron Henry (0-4 at 113) and Chase Lee (0-4 at 165).
