On Sunday, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish released its initial depth chart for the upcoming college football playoff game in South Bend against the Indiana Hoosiers.
During Marcus Freeman's Sunday press conference, he noted that Howard Cross, Jeremiyah Love, and Devyn Ford will all be available this week; while Bodie Kahoun, KK Smith, and Kyngston Viliamu-Asa will out be out.
With Jeremiyah Love ready to go, the Irish offense is very much the same as what it's been for many weeks now. I am a little curious as to the wide receiver rotation and how that will unfold throughout the game as we have seen Beaux Collins struggle as of late. Freeman said that Collins is practicing really well -- but we will have to wait and see how that unfolds.
There is a HUGE boost to the Irish defense this week with the return of Howard Cross to the lineup. Notre Dame's pass rush is MUCH more effective with Cross hammering away on the interior, and Friday night might be a game in which Al Golden and the Irish dial up a number of blitzes -- especially after they watch the Indiana loss to Ohio State.
According to Marcus Freeman, Mitch Jeter is finally healthy -- and he remains the main kicking extra points and field goals for Notre Dame.
