Badlapur (2015) star Varun Dhawan revealed in Ranveer Allhabdia's recent podcast that he was stalked by a woman who broke into his residence. The unannounced visit at his house in the middle of the night caused the Bollywood actor much stress. Without revealing the identity of the person, he claimed that the lady was the wife of a very powerful person. He added that he will not reveal the position of the person either. Dhawan alleged that the woman was being catfished by someone impersonating him, who convinced her that the actor would leave his family for the lady.
She was being catfished. Someone was talking to her using my name. She knew everything about my house, and she thought I was going to leave my family. It became very scary."
Following the incident, Varun Dhawan called police. Lady Constables arrived and intervened. There was no FIR registered.
Further along the podcast, Varun Dhawan shared how at times fans went too far. He revealed that once a female fan forcefully kissed him. He also stated that once he felt someone pinch his derriere. The actor said that he felt violated. He further added
I feel bad for the women because I straightaway put myself in their position. If this is happening with me, it must be worse with them
Last seen starring in the Amazon Prime Video release Bawaal (2023), Varun Dhawan will be next seen in Baby John, a remake of Tamil film Theri, directed by Atlee. The star-studded movie features Salman Khan, Jackie Shroff, Sanya Malhotra, Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, Sheeba Chadha, Rajpal Yadav, and others. Baby John will be released on December 25, 2024.
