Does Georgia play today? Schedule, time, channel for Bulldogs College Football Playoff game

It's been a rollercoaster of a season for Georgia fans. Two losses and an SEC Championship later, though, the Dawgs are back on top, a favorite to claim this year's College Football Playoff Championship.

After defeating Texas again to claim their first SEC title since 2022, the Bulldogs earned the No. 2 seed in the 12-team College Football Playoffs. They look more than prepared to make a run to Atlanta.

With a first-round bye, Georgia will await the results of the Notre Dame-Indiana game. The Fighting Irish are the favorites for that matchup, but Bulldog diehards will accept a matchup with the long-standing rivals. It would just make a victory that much sweeter.

That said, college football was chaos this season, and that will certainly ring true in the playoffs as Georgia will still have to face the best of the best if it wants to reclaim the national title.

Its journey starts on New Year's Day at the Sugar Bowl. Here's what to know about that matchup.
