Kylie Minogue has hit it off with Rita Ora in a big way ahead of launching a major tour together, a source exclusively tells Life & Style, noting that the Australian entertainer has a whole new lease on life thanks to her new friendship with Rita.

"Putting Kylie and Rita on tour together was not exactly an organic decision. It was a concept dreamed up by their management teams and pitched separately to the artists, who of course knew each other but they've never teamed up like this," the insider explains. "Not only did they agree to the idea and get on the same page rather quickly, they're totally coordinating everything about their planned shows."

The source admits it's "shocking how supportive they're being of each other because that's a genuinely rare thing among pop divas, but Rita and doesn't take this opportunity lightly."

The "Princess of Pop" and "Your Song" singer's upcoming tour is also "different" because "neither of them are suffering an inferiority complex about being compared to the benchmark-setting Taylor Swift tour," the insider tells Life & Style.

"Kylie is a next-level performer in her own right and knows how to put on a mind blowing spectacle. In fact, she's absolutely fearless about it," the insider continues. "It's not going to be the cheapest ticket in town but it's going to be thrilling and it's going to be massive because Kylie and Rita are building this enterprise entirely out of good vibes."

In October, Rita, 34, gushed over the news via Instagram with an emotional video and excitement that oozed through fans' small screens.

"So happy to share that I get to tour with THE Kylie Minogue in North America for the Tension Tour!!" Rita captioned the post. "We're going to have so much funnn and I can't wait to see your beautiful faces!! Tickets on sale now."

Rita will open the concert as one of two performers alongside Romy.

The North American leg of the Tension Tour kicks off on March 29, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario. Kylie, 56, Rita and Romy, 35, will perform in big cities including Madison Square Garden in New York and the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The tour will conclude at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Rita's collaboration with Kylie is bigger than a successful career move. In fact, Rita gushed about wanting to work with the "Padam Padam" artist in 2023 before dropping her third studio album, You & I.

"If [Kylie] were to call me, I'll drop everything OK," Rita said during a July 2023 interview on iHeart Radio's Pride radio.

Kylie, for her part, has dominated 2024 after being awarded the Global Icon Award at the BRIT Awards, and she won a Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording for "Padam Padam."

"I just consistently worked and consistently try and keep achieving. Then once in a while ... everything comes together to make a good moment for you. 'Padam' did that for me," Kylie previously told ABC.
