KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Highway Patrol said it's increasing efforts to ensure road safety during the holiday travel season.
The agency is deploying troopers across all 95 Tennessee counties in an enforcement campaign targeting impaired driving, speeding, aggressive driving and distracted driving.
"The holidays are a time for joy and celebration, but they also bring increased risks on the road," THP Col. Matt Perry said. "We're asking all drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and always buckle up."
THP encourages drivers to plan ahead by designating sober drivers or using ride-share services when attending holiday celebrations. Drivers can report unsafe driving by calling *THP.
