PowerColor To Intro "Reaper" Series With The Launch Of AMD Radeon RX 8000 "RDNA 4" GPUs

PowerColor is expected to unveil its next-gen "Reaper" lineup with the launch of AMD's Radeon RX 8000 "RDNA 4" GPUs, adding one more to the 6 existing series in the catalog.

One of the major board partners for AMD is now introducing a brand-new GPU series. While this hasn't been confirmed officially by the company, Videocardz reports that PowerColor is introducing its "Reaper" GPU series, which will now be part of the PowerColor GPU family.

Apart from having Red Devil, Hellhound, Red Dragon, Fighter, and various such families, the Reaper will be the newest one. However, the Reaper is supposedly going to launch with the launch of RDNA 4-based AMD Radeon RX 8000 GPUs. It's unclear whether PowerColor will prepare the existing Radeon RX 7000 GPUs with the Reaper theme, but as of now, the RX 8000 is the only GPU series to get this new branding.

Currently, there are six official GPU series offered by PowerColor:

You can find the last three AMD Radeon GPU generations with these themes, some of which come with higher clock speeds than the reference designs. While some of these series, like Fighter and Reference designs, offer affordable GPUs, the Liquid Devil, and Red Devil are some of the premium families that come with enhanced cooling solutions.

We don't know where the Reaper series will be put in terms of specs and cooling, but it should belong to the premium segment. If reports about the RDNA 4 GPUs come to be exactly as we reported, we should see new PowerColor RX 8000 GPUs with both Navi 44 and Navi 48 GPU dies.

The expected launch date for the AMD RDNA 4 lineup is CES 2025 and the official unveiling for the PowerColor Reaper series may overlap with it.
