Jennifer Lopez is squeezing in some last-minute holiday shopping this weekend, just like the rest of us.
For the occasion, she relied on wardrobe essentials, wearing a cropped white tee, baggy high-rise jeans, and a pair of gray-and-white sneakers. She layered a black-and-white wool trench coat over her minimalist ensemble, letting her hands peek out of the jacket's boxy sleeves to flaunt a nude manicure with a chrome finish. And, in signature J.Lo fashion, she rounded out the look with her own style necessities, including a pair of rose-gold shield sunglasses, gold hoops, and an extremely rare Hermès Kelly bag. Compared to the Atlas actor's expansive Birkin collection, the navy crocodile-skin purse is smaller, but no less luxurious. Limited-edition Birkins are notoriously hard to pin down (authentically) on the resale market, and a similar secondhand design currently retails for close to $82,000. So, to add a casual touch to her glamorous accessory, Lopez embellished its top handle with a blue bandana-print Twilly scarf.
The star's purse wasn't the only thing to ogle at, either. As she stepped out for her shopping trip on Friday (a mere five days before Christmas), she was accompanied by a new hunky bodyguard, who carried her shopping bags and exchanged smiles with Lopez. Don't get the wrong impression, though: J.Lo is content with staying single.
"Being in a relationship doesn't define me. I can't be looking for happiness in other people," she told comedian Nikki Glaser in a candid chat for Interview magazine. "I have to have happiness within myself... What if I'm just free?"
