RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) -- The last ramp on the Wade Avenue Interchange on Interstate 440 is opening back up after years of construction.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation said the Wade Avenue eastbound ramp on I-440 west is set to reopen around midnight, allowing drivers to access downtown Raleigh from I-440 west at Wade Avenue.
A spokesperson for NCDOT said that ramp has been closed since 2020.
All the cones won't be gone just yet because according to NCDOT's website, the rest of the I-440 widening project is set to finish by the end of 2025.
NCDOT is reminding drivers to use caution when they approach the new traffic pattern at the interchange.
